Drum dance

Talking about two dances of similar choreography, let's look at these very different films.

I love this drum song the first time I watched in House of Flying Daggers. Imagine my shock when I saw it performed in a Telugu movie, Arundathi. Of course the sequence of my watching them has nothing to do with which is copying which. This time I'm not interested in the copy issue. I just want to know where does this beautiful dance originate from.

But of the two, despite me liking HFD due to the presence of Takashi Kaneshiro.. I have to say the one in Arundathi packs more punch. I guess the preference is entirely up to the individual.
