My Name is Khan premiered in Abu Dhabi
I'm currently waiting with anticipation for the Berlin clips to start pouring in.

This was my question on facebook! O well.. I guess either it's not as exclusive as I thought or someone pinched it. But I'm happy it was asked and answered :D

On being asked why Abu Dhabi was chosen as the venue for the world premiere of MNIK, Vijay Singh said, "Middle East's revenue contribution is 25% of the international revenues. This is a very important market for us. The reason why we are doing our world Premiere here is because of the theme of the film, the importance of Abu Dhabi and this region we believe has a lot of potential."

Shah Rukh has finally learnt the fine art of saying, "No comment." :P

“Other than that, I do not wish to comment on any other aspect because we’re currently out of the country and the scenario is probably changing per minute. And anything else I say on the matter might be misconstrued,” stated Khan, firmly closing any other conversation on the matter.

MNIK PROMO IS STARTING!!
...and that too even before the filming schedule is completed. Karan Johar and Shah Rukh are trying to accomplish something unusual with this film and I think whatever that is, they're on their way to succeeding. I'm both mega excited and extremely nervous about the film. I want so much to like it that I worry about what if it turns out to be a film I can't obsess over, or what if Shah Rukh's new avatar/character turns out to be someone I can't adore.
But Surinder Sahni, and even the Raj Kapoor character, make me continue to hope for Rizwan Khan to be someone I can be wide-eyed with awe about. After RNBDJ, I think (I hope!) Shah Rukh is going to do unusual roles from now on. Even if all his movies will be love stories, I hope we'll have no more of those 'running around trees while singing and dancing' sequences from him. Give those stuff to someone else, please. I want to see Shah Rukh does character roles from now on. In commercially viable, potential blockbuster movies of course. None of them artsy fartsy stuff. Is that a tall order? I love giving tall orders, taking them is another matter altogether :P
You can watch all the press conference videos of MNIK here at SRK the DON blog. The blogmaster's lined it up pretty nicely, so enjoy~

Mamma Mia! Here I go again.. na na
I bought the video today, yeay! Now to wait until my house is people-less so I can scream fangirlishly during Colin Firth moments without worrying about getting committed to a mental ward.
I tried to find BJD but the only version I found would cost me around RM60. Not that much to a lot of lucky people with higher currency exchange but that's a serious dent in mah wallet. I'll look elsewhere later.
I do want to find Girl with a Pearl Earring though but it wasn't there. I went through the whole rack (like for nearly an hour while constantly shooing off my significant other and bribing him with some videos he's wanted that I found during the hunt) while doing some little steps to Michael Jackson's songs playing in the background. Ever since the King of Pop died, his tribute videos have been playing incessantly in our local mall. Someone up there must have liked him very much. Or maybe they need the 24-7 promotion to move the videos.
Anyway, I found a press conference video of Mamma Mia! This is Part 2 with the female cast (or is it just Meryl Streep?).
...another stuff:

...and I know I've pasted this somewhere here but... "It's my blog and I'll repaste if I want to, repaste if I want to, repaste if I want to" LOL. Well, this one is a clearer clip, really.

The male stars of the film, including Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth, talk about making this Abba-tastic musical.
