'Happy New Year' on schedule

Farah Khan has denied rumours that shooting on her next project Happy New Year has been postponed to 2010.

The Om Shanti Om director insisted that work on the film, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, is on schedule and filming will begin later this year.

Speaking to IANS, she said: "Happy New Year will definitely start this year, no matter what. I'm working on the script. It might go on floors on December 31, but I'm sure it will begin this year.

"It is quite strange that people spread these irresponsible and baseless rumours... Shah Rukh and I don't even know from where such rumours originate."

Khan was recently nominated for an International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award for best choreography in the song 'Desi Girl' for Dostana.
